A Little Bit of Whimsy

Rick Retro’s Realm, Behind the Scenes #6: Lots of emojis will be added to reviews to make them both more whimsical and more informative.

Beginning with tomorrow’s review, I’m going to introduce a little bit of Whimsy into my review headers.

I’m going to add secondary information line(s) to some reviews where relevant. They will use emojis and text to give a little more info about the reviewed work.

Next, all reviews will have a “genre line”, a string of emojis indicating the genre(s) of the reviewed work, even some selected sub-genres.

I’ve already published one reference post, way back on December 5, but it had some mistakes, only covered one area, and could be more concise.

So in the next few days, expect a couple of Rick Retro’s Reference Rundowns. They will run down the meanings of abbreviations and symbols I have used or will use, in pretty much the order they’re used in the reviews.

Now those might make for rather boring afternoon posts. So they will be Bonus Posts. For now, they won’t include a Reference Rundown of the emojis I’m going to be using. It might not be complete yet anyway, as I keep adding sub-genres as I remember or come across them.
