Itinerary, December 12-17
Rick Retro’s Realm, Project #1: 2024 Christmas Tour, featuring Christmas in the 1980s.
Project #1: 2024 Christmas Tour, featuring Christmas in the 1980s.
Let’s face it. I highly doubt any of my current readers (There’s 10 of you! Woo-hoo! Double digits!) are following along and watching what I watch every night. And even when my large following reaches triple digits, probably only one percent at best will be crazy like me enough, combined with stuck at home like me enough, to follow along with the viewing.
So from now on, the Itinerary dates are the dates I intend for the reviews to go out, not the dates I’m going to watch. In the rare case you do want to follow along, watch before the date given.
OK, with that out of the way, the next leg of our 2024 Christmas Tour takes us through the best of the 1980s. Before the link to each film is the number of lists, out of ten All-time Best Christmas Movie lists I checked, on which the respective film can be found.

W: Yes about Die Hard, and though it quotes the bad word in one of Bruce Willis's character's most famous lines, I love the song "Christmas in LA" on Marian Call's Christmas album. I know some of my siblings are fans of her music, too. My one quibble is that she's from Alaska so seems to think that movie is an accurate portrayal of a "real" Christmas in L.A. ;)
