The Chronicles of Substack, Epilogue
Rick Retro’s Realm, Behind the Scenes #25: The Chronicles of Substack, Epilogue – “A Fond Farewell”.
This is the last official post going out first to the text group. Thanks so very much for your help and feedback as I began a new endeavor. I will be forever grateful!
I hope you were entertained and informed by my writing and found a new movie to enjoy or avoid! Don’t miss out! I will notify this group of the next three Retro Reviews after they post on Substack. The first will be tomorrow morning, then February 13 and 16. After that, no more text group notifications. So go right now and subscribe for free at rickretro.com!
Tomorrow, Project #3, 51 Dark Whimsy Favorites in 80 Days, begins with the Retro Review of The Wizard of Oz. I watched it last night and made some nice discoveries while writing the review: I figured out a way to train my keyboard to use the correct apostrophe, even in my writing app that won’t do it automatically! More importantly, I figured out an easier way to load the bulk of my work into Substack from my phone while on the couch, without spending hours at my desktop. There’s still some formatting that can’t be done except on my PC, but this discovery will potentially save me from a good bit of discomfort.

A Progress Report
So far, as of the most recent update listed below, I’ve posted to Substack 15 of the 43 Retro Reviews published first to the text group. Chats can’t be back-dated like posts can, so in order to keep all of them in the correct order, I wasn’t enabling Chats for new Retro Reviews, but now I have at least the Chats up, so that’s not a problem anymore. Hopefully, the remainder of the old text group reviews will all be up soon too.
A new phase begins tomorrow!
See you on rickretro.com!
